    Detailed Itinerary

    Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative from Mountain Treks Nepal will greet you at the terminal, identifiable by a placard bearing your name. Transfer to your Kathmandu accommodation follows. After check-in and refreshments, a briefing about the expedition awaits. Overnight stay at a Kathmandu hotel.

    Today is a free day in Kathmandu dedicated to final preparations for the trek. You can use this time for last-minute shopping for any trekking gear or essentials you might need. Thamel, a popular tourist hub, is a great place to shop and explore. Additionally, you might want to visit some cultural landmarks such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) or Boudhanath Stupa. You’ll spend another night at your hotel in Kathmandu.

    Early in the morning, you will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a journey that offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and takes about 35 minutes. Upon arrival in Lukla, the trek begins with a gentle descent through the beautiful landscape, passing by local villages and lush forests until reaching Phakding. The trek takes approximately 3-4 hours. You will spend the night in a teahouse in Phakding.

    After breakfast, the trek continues along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. The trail involves crossing several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags, ascending through pine forests, and passing through small settlements. The final steep climb to Namche Bazaar, the largest Sherpa village in the Everest region, is challenging but rewarding with stunning mountain vistas. This trek lasts about 6-7 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

    Today is an acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the altitude. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant hub with various shops, cafes, and markets. You can visit the Sherpa Museum, Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks, or take short hikes to nearby villages like Khumjung. This day of rest is crucial for your acclimatization process. You will stay another night in Namche Bazaar.

    The trek resumes with a relatively flat trail before a steep climb through forests of rhododendron and pine to Tyangboche. Along the way, you will have magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. Tyangboche is home to the famous Tyangboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, where you can attend a prayer ceremony. The trek takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Tyangboche.

    The trail descends through a forest, crosses the Imja Khola, and then climbs steadily to the village of Pangboche. From here, you continue through alpine meadows and pastures to the village of Dingboche. The trek offers splendid views of Ama Dablam and the Nuptse-Lhotse ridge. This day’s trek lasts about 5-6 hours. You will stay overnight at a teahouse in Dingboche.

    This is another important acclimatization day. You can take a hike to Chukung Valley, which provides fantastic views of the surrounding mountains, including Lhotse, Makalu, and Island Peak. This hike helps with acclimatization by climbing high during the day and sleeping low at night. After returning to Dingboche, you can rest and explore the village. Overnight in Dingboche.

    The trail ascends steeply up to the top of a ridge and then continues through meadows and pastures. As you approach the Khumbu Glacier, the terrain becomes more rugged. You will pass by the memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest before reaching Lobuche. This section of the trek takes about 5-6 hours. You will spend the night in a teahouse in Lobuche.

    Today is one of the most exhilarating days of the trek. After a few hours of trekking, you will reach Gorakshep, the last stop before Everest Base Camp. After a short rest and lunch, you will continue to Everest Base Camp. The trail to base camp is challenging but offers incredible views of the Khumbu Icefall. After spending some time at Everest Base Camp, you will return to Gorakshep for the night. The trek takes about 7-8 hours in total. Overnight at a teahouse in Gorakshep.

    Early in the morning, you will hike up to Kala Patthar to witness the stunning sunrise over Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. This vantage point provides one of the best panoramic views of Everest. After descending back to Gorakshep for breakfast, you will trek down to Pheriche, which takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Pheriche.

    The trek continues with a descent through the Sherpa villages of Pangboche and Phortse. You will retrace your steps along the Dudh Koshi River back to Namche Bazaar. This long day of trekking takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

    Today is the final day of the Everest Base Camp Trekking, as you descend back to Lukla. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and passes through several small villages. This section takes about 6-7 hours. Upon arrival in Lukla, you will have time to relax and prepare the climbing for Mera peak. Overnight at a teahouse in Lukla.

    After a well-deserved rest in Lukla, you will begin the next phase of the trek towards Mera Peak. The trail ascends steeply through forests of rhododendron and pine to Thuli Kharka. This section of the trek takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Thuli Kharka.

    Today, the trail descends steeply to the Hinku Valley, passing through dense forests and crossing several streams before reaching Kothe. The trek offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Kothe.

    The trek continues along the Hinku River, gradually ascending through lush forests and open pastures to reach Tangnang. The trail offers stunning views of Mera Peak and takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at a teahouse in Tangnang.

    The trail today involves a steep climb through the Hinku Valley, crossing several small streams and passing by ancient moraine walls before reaching Khare. This section of the trek takes about 5-6 hours and offers breathtaking views of Mera Peak. Overnight at a teahouse in Khare.

    Today is another important acclimatization day. You can take a short hike around Khare, practicing basic climbing techniques and preparing for the ascent to Mera Peak. The rest day helps your body adjust to the higher altitude and increases your chances of a successful summit. Overnight at a teahouse in Khare.

    The trek from Khare to Mera Base Camp involves a steep climb over rocky terrain, with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. This section takes about 5-6 hours. Upon reaching base camp, you will set up camp and rest, preparing for the climb to high camp the next day. Overnight at a tented camp in Mera Base Camp.

    The climb from Mera Base Camp to High Camp is challenging, involving a steep ascent over rocky and icy terrain. This section takes about 5-6 hours and offers incredible views of Everest, Makalu, and other peaks. Upon reaching High Camp, you will set up camp and rest, preparing for the summit attempt. Overnight at a tented camp in High Camp.

    Today is the highlight of the trek as you make the summit attempt on Mera Peak. The climb begins early in the morning, with a steep ascent over ice and snow. Reaching the summit of Mera Peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. After spending some time on the summit, you will descend back to Khare, which takes about 8-9 hours in total. Overnight at a teahouse in Khare.

    After the successful summit, you will begin the descent back to Kothe. The trail retraces your steps along the Hinku Valley and takes about 5-6 hours. You will spend the night at a teahouse in Kothe, celebrating your achievement.

    The trek continues with a climb back to Thuli Kharka. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and takes about 5-6 hours. You will spend the night at a teahouse in Thuli Kharka.

    The final day of trekking involves a descent back to Lukla. The trail passes through forests and small villages, taking about 6-7 hours. Upon reaching Lukla, you will have time to rest and celebrate the successful completion of the trek. Overnight at a teahouse in Lukla.

    In the morning, you will take a flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic views one last time. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, explore, or do some last-minute shopping. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Kathmandu.

    Your adventure in Nepal concludes today. You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Everest Base Camp trek and the Mera Peak summit.
