    Detailed Itinerary

    Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, a representative from our team will greet you at the arrival terminal. Look for a person holding a placard with your name. They will transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in and freshening up, you’ll have a briefing about the trek.  Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

    Early in the morning, you’ll be transferred to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for your flight to Lukla, a thrilling 35-minute journey that offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Lukla, you’ll meet the remaining crew members who will accompany you on your trek. From Lukla, the trail descends to the Dudh Koshi River and leads you to Phakding. The trek is relatively easy and takes about 3 hours. Phakding is a small settlement with beautiful views and serves as a perfect introduction to the trek. Overnight at a guesthouse in Phakding.

    Leaving Phakding, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and enters Sagarmatha National Park. You’ll pass through Benkar, Monjo, and Jorsale before reaching Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. The trail offers magnificent views of Thamserku (6,608 m) and Kongde Ri (6,187 m). Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town with a mix of Sherpa culture and modern amenities like cafes, bakeries, and shops. The trek takes about 6 hours and involves some steep ascents and descents. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.

    Today is an acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the higher altitudes. After breakfast, you’ll hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,865 m), which offers panoramic views of Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and other surrounding peaks. On the way back, you can visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery. Namche Bazaar itself is an interesting place to explore, with its bustling market and stunning views of the Himalayas. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.

    Leaving Namche Bazaar, the trail ascends through rhododendron forests and offers stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. After a gradual climb, you’ll reach the village of Phunki Thenga, where you’ll stop for lunch. From here, the trail ascends steeply through pine forests before reaching Tengboche. Tengboche is famous for its monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, with stunning views of Everest and Ama Dablam. The trek takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tengboche.

    The trail descends through rhododendron forests to Debuche, where you’ll cross the Imja River and trek through pine forests to Pangboche. From Pangboche, the trail gradually ascends to Dingboche, a summer grazing settlement surrounded by high peaks. Dingboche offers stunning views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. The trek takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Dingboche.

    Leaving Dingboche, the trail ascends gradually to Duglha, with stunning views of Tawache and Cholatse. From Duglha, the trail ascends steeply to the memorial chortens of climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and ascends to Lobuche, with stunning views of Nuptse, Pumori, and other peaks. The trek takes about 5 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lobuche.

    Today is a challenging day as you trek to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp. The trail ascends through rocky terrain to Gorakshep, a small settlement with stunning views of Everest, Pumori, and Lingtren. After lunch in Gorakshep, you’ll trek to Everest Base Camp, the closest you can get to Everest without mountaineering equipment. You’ll spend some time exploring the base camp and capturing photos before returning to Gorakshep for the night. The trek to Everest Base Camp and back takes about 7-8 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Gorakshep.

    Today is an early start as you hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other surrounding peaks. Kala Patthar is one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region. After enjoying the sunrise views, you’ll descend to Gorakshep for breakfast and then continue descending to Lobuche. From Lobuche, the trail descends through the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Duglha and then ascends to Chhukung. The trek takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chhukung.

    Today is a rest day in Chhukung to help your body acclimatize before climbing Island Peak. You can explore the surrounding area or take a short hike for better acclimatization. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chhukung.

    Leaving Chhukung, the trail ascends through the Imja Valley and pastures to Island Peak Base Camp. Along the way, you’ll enjoy close-up views of Ama Dablam and Lhotse. The base camp is located in a scenic location surrounded by towering peaks. Your guide and support crew will set up a tent for you while you rest and prepare for the climb. The trek takes about 6 hours. Overnight at a tent camp in Island Peak Base Camp.

    Today is the highlight of your trek as you climb Island Peak. You’ll start early in the morning (around 1:00 AM) for the summit push. The climb involves steep ascents over rocky terrain, using ropes, ice axes, and crampons as necessary. From the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. After spending some time at the summit, you’ll descend back to Island Peak Base Camp and then continue to Chhukung. The climb takes about 9-10 hours in total. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chhukung.

    This day is reserved as a contingency day in case of bad weather or any unforeseen circumstances that may delay your climb of Island Peak.

    Leaving Chhukung, you’ll retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar. The trek takes you through Pangboche, Tengboche, and Phunki Thenga before descending to the Dudh Koshi River and Namche Bazaar. The trek takes about 7-8 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.

    Today is your final day of trekking as you descend to Lukla. The trail takes you through beautiful Sherpa villages like Monjo and Phakding, offering stunning views of the Himalayas. The trek takes about 7-8 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lukla.

    Early in the morning, you’ll take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore Kathmandu. You can visit some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the city, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax at your hotel. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

    Today is your departure day. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for shopping or exploring Kathmandu
